At Capstone Wealth Partners, we realize that you have plenty of choices when it comes to selecting a financial advisor. That’s why we strive to provide you with an experience that is unlike any other – not just so that you want to become a client, but so you want to STAY a client. What makes us different? We’re glad you asked…
We’re an independent Registered Investment Adviser (RIA)
Although often difficult to differentiate, you essentially have two choices when it comes to choosing an advisor:
You could select a Broker, who is held to a suitability standard, defined as:
“In recommending to a customer the purchase, sale or exchange of any security, a member shall have reasonable grounds for believing that the recommendation is suitable for such customer upon the basis of the facts, if any, disclosed by such customer as to his security holdings and as to his financial situation and needs.” 1
Or, you could select a Registered Investment Adviser, held to a fiduciary standard:
“Investment advisers owe a fiduciary duty to their clients. As such, an investment adviser stands in a special relationship of trust and confidence with its clients. As a fiduciary, an investment adviser has an affirmative duty of care, loyalty, honesty, and good faith to act in the best interests of its clients. The parameters of an investment adviser’s fiduciary duty depend on the scope of the advisory relationship and generally include the following duties: (1) to place the interests of clients first at all times; (2) to have a reasonable basis for its investment advice; (3) to seek best execution for client securities transactions where the adviser directs such transactions; (4) to make investment decisions consistent with any mutually agreed upon client objectives, strategies, policies, guidelines, and restrictions; (5) to treat clients fairly; (6) to make full and fair disclosure to clients of all material facts about the advisory relationship, particularly regarding conflicts of interest; and (7) to respect the confidentiality of client information” 2

Which standard of client care would you prefer? We think the answer is clear.
We offer Best-in-class technology
Financial planning is typically done in an old-school “pen and paper” environment, and in turn, advisors are only as up-to-date as the client statements they are given. We think there’s a better way. In fact we’ve made a better way - the Capstone Online Wealth Center. This personal financial website allows you single sign-on access to all of your assets, liabilities, and important financial documents, each updated on a daily basis. It serves as a “living and breathing” online balance sheet, and in turn, allows us to make proactive recommendations at a moment’s notice.
